Alсomet AD is one of the leading producers of aluminum roller and press products on the Balkan Peninsula and the only enterprise of its kind on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. With almost 35 years of experience in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, today the company ranks among the top 100 Bulgarian companies in terms of operating income and profit growth, as well as among the 20 largest Bulgarian exporters.

The total amount of investments in production equipment and modern technologies for the last 15 years exceeds 75 million euros. Along with them, the good operation of the implemented management systems, the precise equipment for controlling the production process guarantee the high quality of the offered products, according to the requirements of European standards. The company is located on an area of ​​370,000 square meters, in close proximity to Shumen. The technological equipment in the Foundry includes: 6 lines for continuous casting of rolls and a Wagstaff line for casting blanks, whose total production capacity of 78,000 tons per year fully covers the needs of the two main production lines: Press and Roll Shop.

The press workshop is equipped with 4 presses with a production capacity of about 23,000 tons, 3 furnaces for heat treatment, a powder coating line and the only line in Bulgaria for anodizing profiles. The product range covers nearly 5,500 types of aluminum profiles, tubes and rods with standard dimensions or developed according to the customer’s drawings. The main fields of application for the manufactured products are construction, interior furnishings, automotive, mechanical engineering, transport, etc.

The rolling shop has unique for the country production facilities for rolling different types of aluminum foil, sheets and strips for the needs of the food industry, automotive industry, construction and transport. The equipment includes 5 rolling mills with a total capacity of over 50,000 tons, straightening and degreasing lines, longitudinal and transverse cutting, heat treatment furnaces.

The realized production in 2013 is amounted to nearly 61,000 tons, marking a growth of 13% compared to 2012. Net sales revenues are amounted to BGN 286 million. Over 90% of the sales are directed to EU countries, mainly Germany, Poland, Italy, Austria and Denmark. With the largest share in sales is the product “household aluminium foil”, where the production of Alcomet makes up to 15% of the European market.

Alcomet AD pays special attention to the ecology and environmental protection. Activities are carried out under programs for the effective resolution of problems related to environmental protection, waste reduction, recycling and their safe storage, as well as conducting own monitoring of the latter.
